About

AFT was originated in late 2005 to support and preserve The Tattler, the student newspaper serving Ithaca High School, as a forum for student expression and a lasting influence on its staff members’ lives by:

  1. supporting funding for student projects and recognizing student achievements;
  2. preserving the paper’s legacy through efforts to maintain student autonomy over its publication and through a project to digitally archive past issues; and
  3. maintaining contact with former staff members and organizing reunion events.

We are organized as a non-profit organization in New York State.
